C.P.R.A will provide top 16 contestants in 7 major events; 2 pools of 8 |

C.P.R.A will provide top 20 names to CWA by Sept. 15 then will finalize the top 16 by October 7, 2016 |
CWA is to issue one payment of $106,160.00 for C.P.R.A to administer. This payment will include all CWA approval fees (including C.P.R.A and P.R.C.A) as well as prize money payouts. |
Rodeo production is CWA responsibility |
C.P.R.A rule book will be the guiding principle rule book. CWA ground rules will supersede C.P.R.A rules |
C.P.R.A will provide insurance for all contestants |
CWA will include C.P.R.A and P.R.C.A as additional named insured |
CWA will own all sponsorship inventory and related promotions. C.P.R.A reserves the right to bring in sponsorship with approval from CWA |

Ground Rules: |
Contestants will receive photo ID at the time of registration. This ID will be required to access the CWA grounds and rodeo arena. Only those with photo ID will be allowed access to the lower level of the arena.
* Replacement for ID’s is $50.00 |
Contestants will be scheduled for volunteer media, sponsor or community involvement during their 2 day stay
* There will be no honorariums paid for appearances |
Timed event horses will have a strict schedule regarding arrival, release and arena times during CWA. Schedule will be made available in October |
Contestants will pay CWA $50/stall. Collected by secretary at time of registration. |
Only one horse per contestant will be allowed stalling space, with exception of one hazing horse per steer wrestler |
Contestants must stay in CWA approved hotels consistent with CWA sponsor agreements |
Tie down contestants - Tying of calves on CWA grounds at any time will not be allowed |

Rodeo Format – 2 Go Rounds and an Average: |
Contestants are divided into 2 pools of 8 contestants (Pool A & Pool B). Pool A will compete Wednesday and Thursday evening. The Wednesday performance is the first half of Go-Round #1 and the Thursday performance is the first half of Go-Round #2. Pool B will then compete in the second half of Go-Round #1 on Friday night and conclude the second half of Go-Round #2 on Saturday evening.
The results from Go-Round #1 and Go-Round #2 will be totaled together to give results for the Average and declare a Champion. Prize money will be earned by the top 4 contestants in each of the Go-Rounds and the Average (total score/time combined from Go-Round #1 and #2).
The total prize money is divided between the Go-Rounds and Average in format that puts more emphasis on the Average. |
